CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantee Conference is an annual event at which approximately 250 U.S. startups and small businesses with active SBIR/STTR Phase II grants from NSF will showcase their NSF-funded technology and the cutting-edge products and services that are being developed under their award. This event also facilitates networking between small businesses, investors, and strategic partners. Attendees also participate in a variety of educational and information sessions focused on partnerships, fundraising, business development, intellectual property, and other topics.

The conference will begin on Monday morning, June 4, and conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6.  Awardees should plan to arrive at the hotel on Sunday afternoon or evening to check in and hang their poster. Conference registration and access to the poster area will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning.  Awardees should plan to depart the hotel after the conclusion of the conference. Typically, NSF expects the principal investigator of each award to attend this conference, and additional team members and company personnel are welcome to attend. Each attendee must register via this website and pay the per-person registration fee, which will cover your meals and materials throughout the event.

The 2018 NSF SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantees Conference will be co-located with the 2018 IRI Annual Conference at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Attendees at the IRI Annual Conference will join the Monday and Tuesday evening Technology Showcases (poster sessions) of the SBIR Conference to meet with our Phase II and PFI grantees and discuss their technology under development. SBIR and PFI grantees will also have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions offered at the IRI Annual Meeting on Tuesday afternoon, June 5th. See the conference agenda for more details.
